A Few Tips For Healthy Eating

Tips for healthy eating
There are a lot of people and books and TV shows out there trying to tell people how to eat. However eating properly is just common sense. Many years ago people simply ate the food they grew and raised themselves. This is the best advice you can get today. Try to eat as closely as people died let's say 100 years ago. In fact, one of the more interesting diets out there is the '100 mile diet'.

This diet simply involves only eating food that is been grown or produced within 100 miles of your house. There are a few exceptions that are allowed when following this diet for things such as coffee. Obviously, if you live in the middle of an area with no coffee you can't get local coffee. However the thought behind the hundred mile diet is to eat fresh local produce. Not only do you get healthy food but you also support your local economy and don't end up buying a ton of stuff from China.

When was the last time at the grocery store and bought fresh garlic, apparently fresh garlic, only to read the label and see that it says product of China. This one tip for healthy eating, mainly only eating food that has been grown or raised within 100 miles of your house, will guarantee an improvement in your health and it is really easy to follow, no books to read or 'secret' plans to buy online.

Great Tasting Breakfast Shake With Hemp Oil

One of the most popular tips for healthy eating that I've come across is learning to read labels. It's shocking what they put in food these days. Things are often loaded with sugar as sugar is used as a preservative and not necessarily as a sweetener. Anything that ends in 'ose' or 'ase' such as glucose or lactase is just another form of sugar. Try to avoid these as much is possible.
Another of the famous great tips for healthy eating that I advise people to try is to eat three good meals per day. You also DO want to have a few snacks in between, make sure they're healthy snacks such as fruits or vegetables. Again this all sounds like common sense advice however most people have lost track of basic ways of eating. In the video there is a great shake that contains high quality reverse osmosis water, a few fresh fruits, a couple tablespoons of hemp seed oil, protein powder from a whey source, and a green superfood powder. If you choose to use a green superfood powder make sure you use a high quality one there are a lot of cheap counterfeit superfood powders out there. A good quality one costs about $50 or more.

This above tip for healthy eating, having the shake in the morning, will actually help you lose weight and here's how. Protein is needed by your body, fat is also needed by your body. Now here's how your body works, 'fat burns in the flame of carbohydrate', this is a common nutrition saying. What this means is that you want to have your body burning fat for energy instead of protein. Fat contains 9 cal per gram whereas carbohydrate only contains 4 cal per gram. When you eat a diet that's well-balanced with protein your body becomes a fat burner and not a carbohydrate burner. This gives you more energy, burns off your excess fat stores, and doesn't leave you craving carbohydrates which are basically pasta and sweets, carbohydrates are anything that turns into sugar in your body and are to be eaten in extremely small amounts. Feel free to contribute any tips for healthing eating you may have :)
